IAD – Q4 – Final Report
Friday, June 11th, 2010For the last quarter of this school year I was asked to make a form for a online community (not real of course, just practice!). My subject was a community for bi and gay people concerning the gay emancipation. The goals for this assignment is to learn the basic design elements of forms and how to use them properly. The result is a (big) report in Dutch with my results.
For this assignment I used a lot of theory from Luke Wroblewski, which where really handy! Luke is a professional concerning form design on the internet. Most people hate filling in forms, and Luke learns form designers how to make a form as efficient as possible so people don’t need to spend a lot of time on it.
At first I thought making forms was as boring as filling them in. But when I read a few articles and books I found it was pretty interesting! Especially when you read that changing one button can increase your customers number with 45% and revenue by $4.000.000.000! I learned a lot from this assignment like the path to completion and the tone of voice of a form. Al really interesting things that really can help a company!
Anyway, here is the final report in Dutch: 1E_NickdeKleijn_Eindverslag_V1.2 (PDF)
