You came to this page to see how I made it and what tools I used, right? That’s oke, I will tell you, it’s not a secret! This website, or rather blog, is using the CMS called WordPress. WordPress let’s you manage your own blog on your own domain, and it has numerous of options! It’s open-source which means that it’s updated regularly, but also that you can edit it without breaking the law. A other big thing about WordPress is the fact that you can use Plugins. Plugins are little add-ons for the WordPress package that extend your blog so that it fits your needs.

So, what plugins do I use? Oke, here’s a list:

Another reason why I choose WordPress is that it uses a very simple theme system. You can make your own nice theme without much trouble because it uses a very simple adjustable template. So I made my own theme for this blog as you can see. I made this theme with Illustrator for the most part, and Photoshop to make it work on the internet. The design is inspired by my obsession with Japan and Asia, you can get that out of it by the rising sun and the orange background. The ‘floating’ island is an idea I got from a music clip created by the artist(s) called Gorillaz, the clip is called Feel Good Inc. I saw a island in the clip that was floating between the clouds and thought that was a great idea! I placed a Dutch windmill on it to connect the design to my home country.
